Constitution Day



                    Constitution day also known as National law day is celebrated in India every year  on 26 November.

                   Why selected 26 November date as our Indian Constitution day. Because 26 November has own history. The present Constitution of India was framed by an elected Constituent Assembly and was formally adopted on 26th November 1949. It came in to force on 26th January 1950. The desired by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Constituent Assembly was set up under the cabinet Mission 1946 proposal to draft a Constitution for independent india.


      Constitution are of two types :

1) Unwritten Constitution : United Kingdom and New Zealand are unwritten Constitution.

2) Written Constitution : Remaining all countries of the world are written Constitution.

       The Indian Constitution is the second largest written constitution of the world after Serbia.


                   The Government of India declared 26th November as our constitution day on 19th November 2015 by a gazette notification. Previously this day was celebrated as Law day.

* The Dr B.R Ambedkar is a father of Indian Constitution.

* Dr B.R Ambedkar, chairman of the constitution drafting committee.

* Dr B.R Ambedkar was the Chief architect of indian constitution.

* The Constitution has 444 articles and 12 schedules. It has 105 Amendment till january 2022.

* The Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950. India declare as a Republic and 26 January every year we are celebrated National republic day.

* As per indian Constitution the first General Election held in 1951-52

* Dr Rajendra Prasad, Chairman of the Constituent Assembly  and the First President of Republic of India.

 * Our indian constitution is written constitution.
